    Process Operator I Responsibilities:

    • Manufacture products, operating automatic and manual machines, hand tools and equipment in order to prepare, blend and package ingredients into compounds for internal use or sale.
    • Individuals will perform all work activities in a team environment following operating disciplines, procedures and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation of assigned duties related to the function.
    •  Responsible for controlling, monitoring and adjusting control systems and manually operated equipment. 
    •  Clearing and tagging equipment as required and issuing Safe Work Permits for maintenance and project work. 
    •  Perform routine operation of basic control systems and devices to monitor levels, temperatures, pressures and flow rates and transfer of products.
    •  Utilize troubleshooting skills to resolve deviations and problems, within the process and accurately complete all required paperwork.




    Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:

    • The position requires the basic ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment.
    • Requires familiarity with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as using the Internet, if required.

    Education and Experience Required:

    • HS degree (GED equivalent), plus process manufacturing experience.

    Licensing or other Special Requirements:

    • Must have the physical ability to lift hoses to climb ladders and stairs through multiple levels, bolt flanges, operate valves, and similar equipment as a normal part of the job.
    • Must be able to work in confined spaces and wear personal protective equipment.
    • Requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
    • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
    • Forklift experience a plus.
