    Responsibilities

    The Manufacturing Production Support position works in the local manufacturing facility.  The position works in coordination to support the combined production and warehousing functions.  The position is a hybrid role that will work as needed with multiple areas in the production facility; batching/compounding raw materials, packaging, operating machinery, and general support for the facility as needed. 

     

    This position is for our 2nd shift schedule:  Mon-Friday 3:00pm to 11:30pm

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Support safe and efficient manufacturing process within the plant
    • Read and follow daily production schedule and instructions
    • Prepare, blend and package ingredients into compounds for internal use
    • Prepare packaging materials by retrieving items from storage, applying labels to containers
    • Set up and loading filling machines
    • Stack and palletize products
    • Operate various automatic, manual packaging machines, and hand tools
    • Operate scales and printing devices
    • Operate industrial lift trucks, pallet jacks and other material handling tools
    • Operate automatic and manual machines used in the production process
    • Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment 
    • Maintain accurate written and electronic records as required by specific tasks.
    • Communicate safety issues to leadership  
    • Follow all company safety policies and procedures and organizes work areas for efficiency and safety
    • Provides status reports to management as required
    • Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • Highschool diploma or GED, required
    • One (1) or more year experience process manufacturing
    • Industry experience preference for chemicals, coatings, paintings, adhesives, food and beverage, consumer good

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Demonstrate a sound understanding of industry standards 
    • Strong decision-making ability
    • High level of attention to detail
    • Maintain high standards of personal ethics, supporting MAPEI’s standards 

    Licensing or other Special Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
    • The ability to stand for extended period of time
    • The ability to work with a personal computer and use Excel
    • Forklift experience a plus
