    Collaborate with respective UTT Country Manager to assist and develop MAPEI’s Underground Technology Team business in civil tunneling in assigned territory, ensuring maximum market penetration through effective growth of direct contractor accounts. Maintain a high level of technical proficiency with all UTT product offerings and market applications.  

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

     

    Interact with and support installers, specifiers, architects, key consultants, engineers, construction managers, general contractors, applicators, developers and owners.

     

    Assist in managing all product sales and site support necessary for the tunneling product range in the Eastern US.

     

    Promotes new technologies through seminars/presentations/hands-on demonstrations.

     

    Manages all business of the territory and associated budgets consistent with corporation objectives.

     

    Assists customer base with bid numbers to include MAPEI UTT products.

     

    Develops, grows and manages relationships and supply contracts with key construction firms specializing in tunneling operations.

     

    Assist in the completion of monthly activity reporting (i.e. market conditions, competitive situations, needs, etc.)

     

    Promote MAPEI products through continued development of engineering specifications and contractor support

     

    Develops partnerships with key equipment and product manufacturers.

     

    Understands concrete admixtures, mix design, shotcrete, grouting and waterproofing products needed for success.

      

    Identifies market potential, co-develops pricing and market strategies, estimates potential sales and identifies distribution/channel issues.

     

    May have to travel to represent our products to different tradeshows and to sales meetings.

    Computer Equipment and Software Requirements

    The position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment. Use Microsoft Office Suite software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access as well as using the Internet, if required.

     

    Education and Experience Required

    Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.

     

    Licensing or other Special Requirements

    Requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

    Requires a valid passport and the ability to travel 40% - 60% of the time.

    Ability to work flexible hours due to customer and project demands.
