    Responsibilities

    Job Responsibilities:

     

    This position is a hybrid between Sales and Strategic Marketing with the aim to increase sales through Key Accounts and distributors. Responsibilities include assisting in strategy creation and the implementation at the assigned accounts and distributors through development of effective relationships at all levels.

    The position is home based and ideal candidate should be residing close to major city airport in the mid-west, North East or South East USA.

    You will identify customer needs, propose product solutions and negotiate prices with customers in the Paint, Adhesives, Textile and/or Construction industry.

    Build long-term business relationships with Key Accounts Corporate and personnel in R&D, Operations, Procurement and Sales & Marketing.

    In this role you will actively manage the sales funnel by:

    • Adding new projects by Identifying and confirming projects with customers
    • Sending samples and collecting feedback on samples sent
    • Regularly review project progress with customers
    • Negotiate the final deal

     

    You will also support Distributors by offering product/technical training to their staff and delivering sales/technical presentations to key clients, in conjunction with the Product Manager as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Science/Chemistry or equivalent is required. 
    • 4 to 7 years related sales/product experience and/or training in the field of Adhesives, Paints or Coatings is required. 
    • Technical (formulation) knowledge of downstream industries (preferably coatings, otherwise adhesives, textile or construction), build during previous R&D, Technical Service or Technical Marketing positions in one or more key industries. 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. 
    • Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required. 
    • Must be a team-player, working effectively with others, sharing knowledge and experience.
