    Responsibilities

    The ideal, highly motivated candidate for this role will sell MAPEI products through various distribution channels working collaboratively with distributors and contractors to promote the features and benefits of MAPEI Ultracoat Systems.

     

    This position will be located in Northwest, Oregon/Washington area.

     

    Job Responsibilities

     

    • Sell MAPEI Ultracoat Systems with an emphasis on hands-on demonstrations using samples, and displaying salable product features.
    • Cold call and sell MAPEI Ultracoat Systems to Hardwood Flooring Contractors.
    • Conduct Sand & Finish, Recoat and Maintenance seminars and training sessions.
    • Deliver price discounts and credit terms as determined by the Business Development Manager. Utilize a complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
    • Create and conduct effective proposal presentations to prospective and existing customers.
    • Make recommendations to prospects and existing customers of the various product solutions MAPEI offers to address their business issues.
    • Develop lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
    • Work in conjunction with the core sales group in those instances where an Ultracoat customer or prospect has interest in wood flooring adhesives and/or surface preparation products.
    • Work with customer inside representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
    • Assist distributors with stocking quantities and suggested inventory levels based on their product portfolios.
    • Coordinate and conduct customer training as needed.
    • Visit jobsites and communicate potential product claims. Submit jobsite reports, pictures to include the topics discussed and follow-up needed.  

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of hardwood flooring, sanding & refinishing; has the ability to demonstrate & conduct seminars and workshops.

     

    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Hardwood flooring is required.

     

    • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of MAPEI products and competitive products and their applications in the industry.

     

    • Motivated to drive results by defining appropriate goals and striving to achieve them.

     

    • This position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment. Use Microsoft Office Suite software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, as well as using the Internet.

     

    • Strong knowledge of wood flooring market, with a proven sales record.

     

    • A valid driver’s license is required.
