    The Account Sales Executive – Hard Wood Flooring Finish/Flooring System will actively promote, develop and assist capturing opportunities within the Hardwood Flooring range of products. We are looking for a professional with a proven track record in sales and management specifically in the hardwood flooring installation industry or related chemical, adhesives field.  The ideal, highly motivated candidate for this role will sell MAPEI products through various distribution channels working collaboratively with distributors and contractors to promote the features and benefits of MAPEI Ultracoat Systems.


    • Achieve sales budget within assigned territory.
    • Sell MAPEI Ultracoat Systems with an emphasis on hands-on demonstrations using samples and displaying salable product features.
    • Cold call and sell MAPEI Ultracoat Systems to Hardwood Flooring Contractors.
    • Conduct Sand & Finish, Recoat and Maintenance seminars and training sessions.
    • Deliver price discounts and credit terms as determined by the Business Development Manager.
    • Create and conduct effective proposal presentations to prospective and existing customers.
    • Make recommendations to prospects and existing customers.
    • Develop lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
    • Work in conjunction with the core sales group to cross sell/promote the full line of Mapei’s products.
    • Work with customer inside representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
    • Assist distributors with stocking quantities and suggest inventory.  
    • Coordinate and conduct customer training as needed.
    • Visit jobsites, communicate potential product claims, submit jobsite reports.
    • Maintain high standards of personal ethics, supporting MAPEI’s standards.
    • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
    • Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.


    •  Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent work experience. 
    • Minimum of 5+ years of in the Hardwood flooring industry, required.  
    • Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of hardwood flooring, sanding & refinishing; has the ability to demonstrate & conduct seminars and workshops.
    • Must have working knowledge of MS Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), AutoCAD helpful.
    • Valid state driver’s license.
    • Ability to maintain a high travel requirement and to travel throughout the assigned territory.
