    Responsibilities

    The Maintenance Technician, Manufacturing Equipment is responsible to safely and efficiently maintain and operate manufacturing equipment.   Maintenance Technician, Manufacturing Equipment will also be troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing production equipment including but not limited to industrial blenders, industrial mixers, automated packaging equipment, manual packaging equipment, robotic equipment, pumps, valves and pressures vessels.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Support daily plant operations through effective troubleshooting and repair of Mechanical, Electrical, and Control system adhering to all policies, procedures and instructions
    • Maximize equipment reliability by effectively performing assigned work orders and PMs.
    • Document work completed in the CMMS including actions taken, conditions observed, root cause, preventive action recommendations, and resources utilized including labor hours and parts
    • Direct and/or participate in root cause analysis and team problem solving activities
    • Ensure that all machine repairs and/or scheduled maintenance are completed/verified
    • Interpret manual and computer-generated reports and suggest changes to improve the operability, reliability and safety of assets.
    • Specify replacement parts and requisition required repair parts.
    • Manage contractors (design, engineering, labor, construction, etc.) and/or lead other engineers/techs
    • Lead projects and assist skilled trades in Electrical/Mechanical disciplines.
    • Assist corporate controls in engineering changes and new programs.
    • Guides design, develops and tests electrical control methods, materials, processes and results.
    • Assist in training and developing new technicians
    • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
    • Organize work areas for efficiency and safety, communicate safety issues to leadership  
    • Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required

    Qualifications

    • Highschool diploma or GED, required
    • Ten (10) more year experience maintenance manufacturing experience
    • Industry experience preference for chemicals, coatings, paintings, adhesives, food and beverage, consumer goods
    • Strong understand/familiarity with the following concepts; Interpretation of pneumatic system schematics; Troubleshooting of pneumatic systems; V-Belt Tensioning; Valves / Valve replacements; Motors and drive systems; Contactors, starters, relays, switches; Power supplies and transformers; Electrical enclosures and wiring devices; Interpretation of electrical and controls circuitry schematics; Interpretation of PLC schematics; 
    • Valid Driver license in good standing
    • The ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance, to stand for extended period of time, 
    • The ability to work with a personal computer and use Excel
    • Ability to work overtime as required
