    We’re looking for a results-driven Sales Representative to work collaboratively with our distributors, area contractors, architects and designers to promote the features and benefits of MAPEI products.


    You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability. As a Mapei Sales Representative you will be responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and be “Hunter” with above average interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a sales role, preferably in the constructions materials industry is strongly preferred. 


    Remote based role:  Dallas/Fort Worth


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities 


    • Achieve targeted established sales budget utilizing a consultative and hands on approach.
    • Make recommendations and present to prospects and existing customers, specifically the commercial architectural and design communities.
    • Develop lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads
    • Enter new customer data and other sales data for current or new customers into computer database.
    • Provide Area Sales Director with reporting as required through CRM.
    • Coordinate and work with customer inside representatives, technical services and marketing support to keep abreast of current account activities, current projects and upcoming
    • Present continuing education programs, participate in jobsite training, installation, inspection, product demonstrations, etc. as required.
    • Attend trade shows, provide market feedback regarding customer and competitors; provide recommendations for new products based on market needs.
    • Work with the Distributor Architectural Sales Representative in territory to call on local architects on major projects
    • Assist distributors with stocking quantities and suggested inventory levels based on their product portfolios, coordinate and conduct customer training
    • Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries, visit jobsites and communicate potential product claims.
    • Perform other duties as assigned. 


    Education and Experience

    • Minimum five years’ experience in sales of commercial products.
    • Strong knowledge of architectural market, with a proven sales record.
    • Four-year degree preferred, not required

    • Excellent knowledge with CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships
    • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
    • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
    • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
    • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
    • Strong relationship management skills and openness to feedback
    • The position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment, with Microsoft Office Suites 

    Licensing or other Special Requirements

    • Valid state driver’s license.
    • Ability to work independently from remote location
    • Ability to maintain a high travel requirement and to travel throughout the assigned territory.
