    Responsibilities

    The Arodo Mechanic Operator is responsible to safely and efficiently maintain and operate the Arodo packaging line and palletizers. This position is for all production and maintenance activities and palletizer – production only, it does not require the full range of maintenance. The Arodo Mechanic and Operator will also be troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing production equipment including but not limited to industrial blenders, industrial mixers, automated packaging equipment, manual packaging equipment, robotic equipment, pumps, valves and pressures vessels.

      

    This position is for our ­­­­2nd shift schedule: 3pm to 11:30pm

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible to safely and efficiently maintain and operate the Arodo packaging line and palletizers
    • Maintain high efficiency operations and monitor plant manufacturing controls, gauges and instruments.
    • Responsible for preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment
    • Document and create work orders for repair in maintenance information system
    • Responsible for managing computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and updating assigned work orders
    • Responsible for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs
    • Maintain correct weight and quality of the bags produced.
    • Perform Durometer tests on bags for hardness and vacuum.
    • Complete paperwork and reports as needed; downtime log, used parts log, shift log book
    • All required Q.C. tests, Q.C. sampling.
    • Assist in training new operators.
    • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
    • Organize work areas for efficiency and safety, communicate safety issues to leadership  
    • Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required

    Qualifications

    • Highschool diploma or GED, required
    • Two (2) or more year experience process manufacturing
    • Industry experience preference for chemicals, coatings, paintings, adhesives, food and beverage, consumer goods

    Licensing or other Special Requirements

    • Valid Driver license in good standing
    • The ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
    • The ability to stand for extended period of time
    • The ability to work with a personal computer and use Excel
    • Forklift experience a plus
    • Ability to work overtime as required
