Our Supply Chain and Warehouse Manager has a very important role in our local facility! At MAPEI, our Warehouse Managers are responsible for the development, planning and managing of the full business process and procedures in the warehouse and play a critical role between customers, suppliers, couriers and our employees. As our Warehouse Manager you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and be involved in all aspect of the warehouse operations; shipping and receiving, managing goods, ERP systems and warehouse staff to ensure dispatch is accurate, productive and on time. The role manages all inventory, maintains the facility’s equipment, and ensures continual efficient dispatch of products from the warehouse.
As a key member of our management team you will report to the plant unit manager and will be in charge in charge of hiring, scheduling, coaching and monitoring personnel. The Warehouse Manager must ensure the facility is safe and secure in terms of environmental, health and safety. You will need to have keen focus on identifying and implementing cost efficiencies, continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure quality and safety for the business unit. Day to day, the Warehouse Manager must plan and execute the running of the facility, work toward key performance indicators (KPIs), manage staff and continuously look for opportunities to optimize the warehouse.
As part of the MAPEI Management team, we will expect you to combine your safety knowledge, understanding of warehouse operations, use your leadership skills to manage the business effectively on the day-to-day operations and partner with your unit manager on the long-term strategic planning. Ultimately, as our Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for achieving ultimate customer satisfaction through high quality of service and achieve Company’s financial goals through effective, proactive management in your role.
To be qualified for this position we are seeking persons that have a Bachelor’s (B.A.) degree from a four-year College or University or the equivalent plus a minimum of ten years related experience or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. Advanced degree, preferred. In this role you will need to be proficient with ERP’s systems, strong preference for AS400 and be comfortable with using Excel and Word.
