    The Opportunity

    The Maintenance Planner reports to the Plant Engineering and Maintenance Manager and will act as a direct representative of the Maintenance Team.  The role will perform a full spectrum of maintenance department functions partnering with the Maintenance Manager’s responsibilities in developing, implementing and executing plant maintenance initiatives, tasks and services. The Maintenance Planner's responsibilities will include the tracking and documenting of maintenance department KPI’s, purchasing/receiving of maintenance parts and supplies, planning and scheduling of maintenance work, updating equipment library and maintaining department files. The successful candidate will at a minimum have knowledge of commonly used production maintenance terminology, concepts, practices, and procedures. 


    • Plan and schedule maintenance activities in the assigned unit including: all safety requirements, planning of work orders, managing back log, and scheduling work
    • Working with production schedulers to integrate production plan with maintenance plan
    • Write, source and request parts and gather quotes, receive parts, create Purchase Reqs and Request contractor service quotes
    • Enter facilities and maintenance orders into our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
    • Debrief with maintenance mechanics for feedback after completion of the job
    • Track weekly work order completion and department utilization
    • Assist Supervisors, and or Manager in weekly planning and scheduling of maintenance department work
    • Providing reports to management for maintenance activities 
    • Supports the maintenance team in the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement 
    • Participate in Root Cause Problem solving, as necessary.
    • Maintain maintenance department files and equipment manuals library
    • Track and assist with sustaining department initiatives


    • To be considered for this opportunity you should have a high school diploma or the equivalent, an Engineering degree or two-year college degree in project management/technical field or equivalent experience preferred. 
    • A minimum of 3 years related experience, you should be proficient in Microsoft office suite and the experience with AS400 software or INFOR system is  a plus.
