    The Opportunity

    The Arodo Mechanic Operator is responsible to safely and efficiently maintain and operate the Arodo packaging line and palletizers.  This position is for all production and maintenance activities and palletizer – production only, it does not require the full range of maintenance.  The Arodo Mechanic and Operator will also be troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing production equipment including but not limited to industrial blenders, industrial mixers, automated packaging equipment, manual packaging equipment, robotic equipment, pumps, valves and pressures vessels.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible to safely and efficiently maintain and operate the Arodo packaging line and palletizers
    • Maintain high efficiency operations and monitor plant manufacturing controls, gauges and instruments
    • Responsible for preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment
    • Document and create work orders for repair in maintenance information system
    • Responsible for managing computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and updating assigned work orders
    • Responsible for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs
    • Maintain correct weight and quality of the bags produced.
    • Perform Durometer tests on bags for hardness and vacuum.
    • Complete paperwork and reports as needed; downtime log, used parts log, shift log book
    • Complete required Q.C. tests, Q.C. sampling.
    • Assist in training new operators.

    Qualifications

    To be considered for this role you will need to have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.  Technical school certifications and/or degreed candidates are strongly encouraged to apply! It would be beneficial for you to have two or more yeears of experience in operating or repairing mechanical equipment, ideally in a manufacturing or process type of environment.
